Week of August 29th - September 2nd
1. A - Argument (noun) - an exchange of diverging or opposite views
B - Since Jake and I were in an argument, we got yelled at by our mother and write her an apology.
C -
2. A - Cite (verb) - quote as evidence for or justification of an argument or statement, especially in a scholarly work.
B - In english I had to cite the text and make sure it was right, but i did have too in math.
C -
3. A - Passive voice (adjective) - accepting or allowing what happens or what others do, without active response or resistance.
B - I was not passive with the essay my students turned in, so they had to redo it.
C -
4. A - (noun) - the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form.

5. A - (noun) - a particular attitude or way of considering a matter.
B - From the writers point of view he thought the story was great, but his peers said it was terrible.

Week of September 6th - 9th
6. A - (verb) - work jointly on an activity, especially to produce or create something.
B - I collaborated with my peers, and we wrote one heck of a story.

7. A - (adjective) - (of a person or a person's words) having or showing the ability to speak fluently and coherently.
B - Me and my writing teacher sat down at trojan time ,and he shoed me how to articulate correctly.

8. A - (verb) - develop gradually, especially from a simple to a more complex form.
B - My math teacher helped me evolve into higher classes, but this didn't just help my math it also helped my writing.

9. A - (adjective) - showing great attention to detail; very careful and precise.
B - My writing teacher said i have meticulous in his class, but not in math.

10 A - (adjective) - able to move quickly and easily.
B - My writing teacher wants his tacker runners to be agile, but he also wants his basketball players to be agile too.

Week of september 12th -16th and 19th - 23rd
1. A - Hypotenuse (noun) - the longest side of a right triangle, opposite the right angle.
B - In Writing class I had to find the nouns, but in Math class I had to circle the hypotenuse.

2. A- Converse (verb) - engage in conversation.
B - Sense they were arguing about the story, I conversed and told them what who was right.
C -
3. A - irrational numbers ( noun) - irrational number is a real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio of integers
B - We had vocabulary on irrational numbers in Math, and English.

4. A - rational numbers (noun) - a rational number is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction p/q of two integers.
B - I under stand how to use rational numbers, but not irrational numbers.

5. A - square root (noun) - a number that produces a specified quantity when multiplied by itself.
B - We are learning square roots in Math, but its a vocabulary word in English.

6. A - Elastic potential energy (noun) - energy stored in any object or material that is bent, stretched, or compressed.
B - You see elastic potential energy on traps ,but also in springs and shocks.

7. A - Newton (noun) - the unit in the metric system used to measure force.
B - Sir Isaac Newton had an apple fall out of a tree and hit his head, and thats how he discovered gravity and made newtons.

8. A - Force Field (noun) - an area around an object where an object can influence another object with out touching it. A magnetic field is an example of this.
B - Force Fields aren't like the the ones you see in movies, but they do exist.
